ADOPTED!!! Tyson was rescued from animal services after spending 5 months in protective custody (and he was not there for anything he had done). Due to his age and weight gain causing weakness in his legs, he was scheduled to be euthanized. We heard of his plight and got him out in time. He is currently in foster care and on pain medicine for an injury to his spine, which was caused by "blunt force". He is spending his days taking walks with his foster mom and hanging out on the couch with his favorite cat. We are currently in need of donations to pay for his pain medicine, which costs about $1.50 a day.
There are so many young and healthy dogs that are adopted out of the shelters every day. These dogs “show well”, wagging their tales and jumping up and down when a human approaches… but what about those who don’t? What about the dog that is too scared? Too scared to look at you? Too scared to wag his tale for you? The dog who is huddled up in the corner of his kennel, tail tucked between his legs, completely terrified. These are the dogs that don’t “show well”. They are simply passed over, and many times, never make it out alive.
These are the dogs that need special homes that will take the time to socialize the animal and supply much needed tender loving care. These are the foster homes that Second Chance Animal Rescue is seeking.

ADOPTED!!! Rocky is a very sweet dog who really needs a happy ending. He spent over 6 years on a chain without much human companionship. He is great with people; he will be your best friend. He just wants to hang out with you. He would do best as an only dog just because he went so long without being socialized. Please let us know if you can give him a home of his own where he can keep you company and be your buddy.
